Layered paint creates depth and texture in Patrick St. Germain's "Canmore." Inspired by the tactile works of Alberto Giacometti, the artist applies acrylic paint to the canvas, then removes it with a scratching technique that evokes movement and mood. "I loved the way Giacometti removed material from his art to achieve his composition," St. Germain explains. CB2 exclusive.
