"Claire," by Montreal artist Patrick St. Germain, was influenced by early Japanese landscape painting. Using a traditional bamboo brush, the artist applied calligraphy ink and watercolor to rag paper, playing with concepts of light and shadow in an abstract context. Dramatic and open to the viewer's interpretation, the piece is presented beneath glass in a black frame certified sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council ®. CB2 exclusive.
