Designed by Sandra Githinji, acacia wood table pairs traditional African architectural details with a modern pedestal-style silhouette. Born in Kenya and raised in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, Sandra Githinji centers her designs on an African perspective. "Toron references the traditional architecture of the African peoples of the Sahel and Sudanian grassland regions. Facades are decorated with bundles of rodier palm sticks called 'toron' that project away from the wall as a type of scaffolding," explains the designer. Acacia wood has been stained for a dark, powerful presence while still retaining its organic character, creating a one-of-a-kind piece with timeless appeal. CB2 exclusive.
