Inspired by the artist's travels to Italy, "Ischia" uses layers of paint that bleed across a custom-designed linen canvas to create an abstract landscape that's both feminine and moody. The artist's original work is reproduced here as a giclée print.
Kristen Giorgi is an Atlanta-based artist embracing both her fashion background and veneration for 1960s color field stain-painters. The sense of form and color saturation results in figurative and abstract works that are "edgy and soft, exuberant and reflective—a mirror of my personal style and philosophy."
