"This piece is an amalgamation of styles," artist Patrick St. Germain says of "Matala." His original piece mixes textures and finishes — including coarse sand, acrylic gel, matte acrylic gel and charcoal — to create a beautiful middle ground between sculptural and highly stylized works.
