Using the same techniques developed during pre-Incan times, this textured terracotta vase is crafted entirely by hand by artisans in Chulucanas, Peru. Terracotta is shaped into a low, curvy vessel on a potter's wheel, then a netting is applied to create the distinct serpentine pattern before it's kiln-fired. Each vase is fired several times to achieve a rich blackened finish, the result of a special kiln that imparts the natural resin of mango leaves onto each piece. Finished with an interior waterproof varnish, vase is perfect for dried and fresh stems alike. CB2 exclusive.
