Gift card terms and conditions

CB2 Gift Cards are redeemable for merchandise or services at CB2 stores (Canada only), online at cb2.ca, or by phone at 855.833.1833. They can also be redeemed for merchandise or services at Crate and Barrel stores (Canada only), online at crateandbarrel.ca (not available in QC) or by phone. Purchases will be deducted from this card’s balance until the value reaches zero dollars. Funds on this card do not expire and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law. CB2 is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or compromised cards, nor for any unauthorized use. Your acceptance and use of this card constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions, which may change at any time. To check your balance, call 866.921.1507. Important Customer Notice: We can only guarantee the authenticity of Gift Cards, eGift Cards and Shopping Cards if they are acquired through cb2.ca, crateandbarrel.ca, Canada CB2 stores, Canada Crate and Barrel stores, by calling 855.833.1833 (CB2) or 888.657.4108 (Crate and Barrel), or through one of our authorized retail partners. Gift Cards, eGift Cards and Shopping Cards purchased through online auction, classified ad sites and resale sites may be counterfeit or have a zero dollar balance and can be canceled at any time if determined to be fraudulent. Shopping Cards will be void if bartered or sold.

How do I redeem my gift card, egift card, or shopping card online?

It’s easy to make purchases with your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card online. Just make your selections and proceed to Checkout as usual. From the Payment Page, click on Use a Gift/eGift Card. For Gift or Shopping Cards, enter your card number and PIN located beneath the scratch-off area on the back of the card; for eGift Cards, enter the card number and PIN that appear together. Then click Apply Gift Card.

If you have more than one Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card, enter the information for each card you wish to use. Our system will perform the appropriate calculations.

Please note: Gift/eGift Cards and Shopping Cards may be used in combination with a credit card to complete your transaction.

Can I check the balance on my gift/egift card or shopping card?

Yes. To check your card balance online, just go to Gift Cards and click Check Gift Card Balance, enter your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card number along with the 4-digit PIN and click Check Balance. You can also check your card balance when you visit our stores and by calling us at 855.833.1833.

What if my gift/egift card or shopping card is lost, stolen, compromised or damaged?

Please treat your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card like cash. If lost, stolen, compromised or damaged, please contact Customer Service at 855.833.1833. CB2 is not responsible for any unauthorized use.

Do I have to spend the exact amount on my gift/egift Card or shopping card?

No. If your purchase amount is less than the value of the Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card, you can apply the balance toward your next purchase. If your purchase amount is greater than the card balance, you will need to make the additional payment with a credit card or another Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card.

At what point during my online order is my gift/egift card or shopping card actually redeemed?

The balance on your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card is applied toward your online purchase once you submit your order. If you enter your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card number on the Payment page and then decide to return to your Cart or to continue shopping, your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card information will be cleared and your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card will not be debited. When you have completed shopping and are ready to submit your order, you will be asked to enter your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card information once again to complete your purchase.

Can I still use my cb2 paper gift certificate or store merchandise credit as a form of payment?

Yes, you can still use your paper Gift Certificates or Merchandise Credits as a form of payment in our store. However, paper Gift Certificates and Merchandise Credits may not be redeemed online.

Do cb2 gift/egift cards or shopping cards and certificates expire?

Any unused balance does not expire and remains on your Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card and/or Gift Certificate until it is spent.

Can I redeem gift/egift card or shopping cards online for purchases shipping to the united states?

Currently, our system only supports online Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card redemptions for orders shipping within Canada. For U.S. and International Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Card redemptions, contact us at 855.833.1833.

Will I be charged any fees if I don’t use my gift/egift card or shopping card for an extended period of time?

CB2 does not charge service or dormancy fees for any unused Gift/eGift Card or Shopping Cards carrying a balance.

What is the difference between a gift/egift card and a shopping card?

A Gift/eGift Card is a gift you give or receive for a certain dollar amount. It is redeemable toward merchandise or service purchases in stores, online or by phone. Gift Cards may be purchased in stores, online or by phone. eGift Cards may be purchased online.

A Shopping Card is a card issued when you are due a credit. It is redeemable toward merchandise or service purchases in stores, online or by phone.

How long does it take to receive an egift card once purchased?

The recipient will receive the eGift Card within hours of the purchase. If you suspect the eGift Card has not been sent to the recipient within 24 hours, please contact Customer Support at 844.283.8056.

The purchaser of an eGift Card will receive a confirmation email after the eGift Card is purchased. The purchaser will also receive an email once the eGift Card has been sent and once the eGift Card has been viewed by the recipient.

How will my gift card be shipped?

Our Gift Cards are presented in an envelope with a letter and your personalized message. Gift Card orders received by 2 pm PT will be shipped out the end of the following business day. Standard Canada Post or Courier delivery is CAD 2.00 and should arrive within 4–9 business days. Express delivery is CAD 15.99 and will be delivered in 2–3 business days (tracking included.)

Can I use a Crate and Barrel gift/egift card or shopping card at CB2?

Yes, Crate and Barrel Gift/eGift Cards and Shopping Cards can be used to purchase merchandise and services at CB2 and Crate and Barrel stores (Canada only), as well as online at cb2.ca and crateandbarrel.ca (not available in QC); by phone; or through any of our catalogs.
