"100 Plus" pays homage to the distinctive organic motifs of California midcentury modernism. Recreated from an original 1967 design by Los Angeles artist Evelyn Ackerman, the pattern of dark squares and rectangles highlights her intuitive use of pattern, color, line and proportion—principles that informed Ackerman's signature style over the course of her career. Giclee reproduction is printed on paper and installed in a black wood frame. CB2 exclusive.
Founding ERA Industries in 1956, Los Angeles-based Evelyn Ackerman and her husband, Jerome, played a central role in shaping the California midcentury modern movement. In 1957, Evelyn began designing hand-hooked wall hangings that could translate into prints for a new audience. Presented in collaboration with Ackerman Modern, the pieces in this collection recreate the couple's iconic midcentury designs using original drawings and archival photographs.
